Tony Dunin

Tony is a senior orthopaedic surgeon working in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne as well as being an Honorary surgeon at St.Vincent’s Melbourne. He also teaches direct anterior hip replacement surgery to orthopaedic surgeons both nationally and internationally.

Tony first participated in a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course in 2008 in order to deal with the stresses and anxieties he was experiencing in his life as an orthopaedic surgeon. He found this a life changing and most rewarding experience.

Tony has been teaching MBSR to staff at St Vincent’s Hospital since 2012. Tony and his spouse, Jo set up The Melbourne Centre for Mindfulness in East Melbourne 2 years ago and now conduct a course specifically designed for doctors called “Mindfulness in Medicine”.
