Invited Speakers

Lotte Hamel obtained her Master degree of Medicine in 2013 from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her clinical rotations she became drawn to the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which lead to her working as ANIOS (senior house officer), currently at Canisius Wilhelmina Hospital in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. After a few years of clinical experience, she got the opportunity to start her research on medical treatment of early pregnancy loss. In 2017 she began her PhD research project, focusing on pre-treatment with mifepristone prior to misoprostol as treatment of early pregnancy loss. With this research she hopes to contribute to improve treatment for patients suffering an early pregnancy loss, in terms of a.o. effectiveness, side-effects, costs and quality of life.
