Professor Martin Delatycki is the Medical Director of Victorian Clinical Genetics Services and Director of the Bruce Lefroy Centre at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
Martin has clinical and research interests in genetic screening and neurogenetics. He oversaw the setting up of a number of screening programs including those for cystic fibrosis and recessive conditions in the Jewish community. He led the first randomised trial of treatment for haemochromatosis as well as two large screening studies for this condition. He is Chief Investigator on a $20 million study of genetic screening for reproductive risk entitled Mackenzie’s Mission.
