The Anzica one day workshop will focus on counsellors learning from each other. Managing the role of the counsellor within the many contexts of differing demands from clinics, clients and professional bodies is a challenge for most counsellors.

How you and others handle individual cases will be discussed in small focus groups with case scenarios to examine ethics, egg or embryo donation, surrogacy, decision making and other salient counsellor challenges in everyday practice.

There will be updates on laws and treatment opportunities for surrogacy, donor use, and who is able to access treatment. Issues relevant to counselling in surrogacy, same sex and single women will be discussed.

This will all be in a context of peer support, information sharing and socialization. At the end of the day the counsellor’s dinner for those interested will be held at a separate venue (an additional cost).
